The Centro de Linguística da Universidade Nova de Lisboa (CLUNL) whishes to admit, for a period of 5 years, a researcher with a PhD in the field of Linguistics, preferably with at least 3 years of relevant post-doc research.

Desirable skills: broad general background in linguistics; advanced knowledge in at least one of the following areas - morphology, syntax, semantics, historical linguistics, pragmatics; familiarity with grammaticalization research and / or related areas (preferably comprising various levels of linguistic analysis); research in one or more Romance languages.

The candidate will join an existing Research Unit at FCSH-UNL. CLUNL is a Research Unit that develops and promotes research in different areas of Linguistics. The researcher to be admitted is expected to collaborate in research activities of the 'Grammar and Text' Group of CLUNL both through active participation in the work of specific projects and in various group tasks (e.g. workshops, development of resources and tools). The researcher is also expected to enhance investigation on Portuguese and / or other languages within a framework compatible with the generally defined objectives of the 'Grammar and Text' Group (cf. http://www.fcsh.unl.pt/clunl). There are no teaching obligations.
