The selection methods to be used are as follows:
Candidates will be screened for eligibility according to admission requirements listed. The evaluation will consist of 3 stages:
1. Candidates will be scored and shortlisted according to the required application materials (motivation letter and CV). The value is calculated by weighing in each factor as follows scientific and curricular background (40%), expertise in the work field (40%), and motivation letter (20%).

hIPSCs cell culture
Human neurons differentiation from hiPSCs
Neuronal activity techniques (i.e Calcium imaging, electrophisiology, Multi-Electrode arrays, Phluorins, FM1-43).
Imaging techniques (i.e confocal, super-resolution, live imaging)
Quantitative image analysis (i.e. Fiji, Imaris)
Programming skills (i.e. Matlab, Python)
2. Candidates with the best score in 1. will be contacted for a short-written assignment.
3. The candidates that obtain the highest scores in 2. will be interviewed (remotely), and referees will be contacted. Candidates who are interviewed will be assigned a new classification.The top candidate will be selected based on the presentation (40%), previous work (30%) and questions (30%).
